The Regional Congress for North America will be hosted on October 22, 2024, in Montreal, Canada in conjunction with the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA).
Under the title
"Innovation through Partnership: Orthopaedics and Geriatrics in Action", the program will include plenary sessions and workshops that align with the multidisciplinary approach to care for fragility fractures in each of the 4 pillars:
1. Acute management
2. Post-fragility fracture rehabilitation
3. Secondary fracture prevention
4. Policies to support best practice careThe day will include the latest evidence relevant to the clinical management of fragility fracture in the context of the health care systems in the USA and in Canada.
There will be abstract submissions and space for posters to identify the latest research and the implementation activities that are taking place across North America.
The Congress is appropriate for Orthopaedic Surgeons, Geriatricians, Internists, Rheumatologists, Endocrinologists, Primary Care Physicians, Nurses, and Allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and dieticians.
