FFN CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
BOARD AND EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Fragility Fracture Network (FFN) is seeking nominations for Board and Executive Committee (ExCom) members. As a global organization FFN understand that health care change occurs at a national level and is proud to be working with leaders in countries across the globe leaders with an interest in evidence-based care for patients who have sustained a fragility fracture.
We would like to encourage all National FFNs leaders to consider the opportunity to join us within the global organization so that we can ensure we build a sustainable organization that meets the needs of members across the world. We also want to encourage individuals who are not part of a national FFN however have experience in system level health care change and can bring a new or innovative perspective to help grow our global initiatives.
The elections will take place during the FFN’s Annual General Meeting on 29 October 2024 which will be held virtually. The terms will begin immediately after.
Board Members
There will be at least two open elected board positions. The position is a term of 2 years with 6 meetings hosted virtually each year and required attendance at 4.
Executive Committee (ExCom) posts
This year we are seeking nominations for the following ExCom posts:
- President-Elect
- General Secretary-Elect
- Chair-Elect of the Communications Committee
- Chair-Elect of the Education Committee
- Chair-Elect of the Scientific Committee
Nomination Procedures
If you are interested in a position, please note the following information:
- Each individual needs to be a member of FFN.
- A new nominee must be nominated by 2 FFN members who are in a leadership position at the global or national level (e.g., ExCom, Board, SIG lead or advisory panel member, sub-com lead or advisory panel member, national FFN leadership position).
- These individuals will need to be named on the application form. Those who are applying for re-election do not require nominators.
- Nominees can only apply for one position.
- Submission requires that you have experience working with FFN in some capacity or with a global or national organization that is influencing change for fragility fracture patients.
- Submissions will require a short summary of your experience with fragility fractures and information on what you would bring to FFN. Each is a maximum of 200 words.
The deadline for submissions is 19 October 2024.
New ExCom and Board members are essential to the future of FFN so please put your name forward for election or encourage others who have something to offer the FFN in its future work.
