Secondary Fragility Fracture Prevention SIG

Vision

To enhance secondary fragility fracture healthcare across the globe through clinical team peer mentorship.

Aim

To work collaboratively with secondary fragility fracture prevention clinical teams across the globe who are committed to advancing re-fracture prevention care that is evidenced informed and appropriate for their care setting for people with fragility fractures.

Current Activities

Through survey of members of the FFN who responded to a survey in 2018, the following activities have been listed for implementation over the coming years and are on the work plan of the SIG:

Develop, implement, analyse and report on a detailed survey of secondary fragility fracture prevention services and clinicians concerning their local model of care and related successes and challenges - 2020

Further determine the next initiatives to peer support service providers as identified in the survey - 2021

Undertake periodical webinars from leaders in the field of secondary fragility fracture prevention

Communication: Updates will be undertaken periodically in the FFN newsletter.
